Gator Fosters
Please see our Facebook page for updated fosters that may be available and for posts of Danes in Florida that we know of that are up for adoption.
If you're interested in adopting or Fostering a Great Dane
Please contact us through the comment box on the "Contact Us" tab to see if we have any available fosters. We do take Great Danes in periodically if they are left in need of a home. Please understand that we are not a rescue! We do not actively search out Danes for our members. We only take in Danes that are surrendered to us and in urgent need of a new home right away. Other than that we let people use our page to advertise Danes they have either found online that need new homes or that they themselves are re-homing. I highly recommend that if you are looking to adopt a Dane that you do reach out to other rescues and that you search craigslist and other sites for yourself as well as check our page. We are just one tool among many to use as you search for your new family member. All Danes fostered with us have been surrendered to us by the owner for the purpose of re-homing them with a new family. We use our social profiles and pages to find new homes for them and to keep up with their progress. Your best chance for seeing our fosters is to like our Facebook page for daily updates!
All Danes that are surrendered to us at Gator Danes are
re-homed with a possible small fee befitting the time, effort and medical fees spent on the Dane. Some of our fosters need more training and socialization than others and some need none. We do not charge a standard "re-homing fee". We do, however, ask for a donation for the time, care, socialization and training we provide for our fosters.
All medical expenses will have documentation from a licensed veterinarian or shelter. We do ask for reimbursement for all medical fees for our fosters while in our care.
